What is Xeomin?

Xeomin vs BOTOX®
Xeomin and Botox are both cosmetic treatments that use a form of botulinum toxin to relax facial muscles and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. The active ingredient in both Xeomin and Botox is botulinum toxin type A (BTXA), which works by blocking nerve signals to the muscle, preventing muscle contractions and wrinkles. However, Xeomin is a “naked” or “pure” version of botulinum toxin type A and the only product that doesn’t contain any additional proteins, which may help to prevent antibody resistance.
Injections of Xeomin can be used in the same areas as Botox, providing a similar effect in reducing the appearance of lines.

Side effects

This includes allergic reaction to botulinum toxin products, prescription medicine, or over-the-counter medicine you may be taking such as blood thinners (aspirin-like products) prior to treatment.
Downtime and recovery
You may resume your normal activities immediately but will be required to avoid strenuous activities and exercise for at least 24 hours.
To prevent the spread of the solution from the treatment areas, it is also important to avoid lying down for at least 4 hours after treatment.
